I won't do THAT again for a while!

Well, for some silly reason, I've had the itch to go play slots this week. I blame Justin.... LOL! He went last weekend. Since he picked up the new Hard Rock pins for me when he was up in Tahoe, I didn't have that for an excuse either. SIGH. So, I thought maybe I'd go back out to Lincoln and check out Thunder Valley (Indian Casino) again. I haven't been out there in a couple years. The last time I was there, they had MAYBE 6 penny slot machines (which is what I play) and there was a line for each one. I also always feel like I'm losing all the time when I play the Indian casinos versus Reno or Tahoe. Go figure. But, I figured I'd give them another shot since they ARE only 25 miles away. Well.... they have about a zillion 2¢ and 5¢ machines and I did find a little area with about 15 penny machines, but the games all sucked. Most of their 2¢ machines had too many lines for my taste too (25 to 50). I tried a couple different games and lost $20 in about 30 minutes. So I switched to nickels and a game I like (9 lines) and played that for about an hour. After that I was down another $7. I was going to cash out and saw a game that interested me.... Green Acres. It had WAY too many lines to figure out, but I wanted to see if I could light up Arnold the Pig. Yeah, I play these things for the fun features. So I put in the $13 I had left. After about 4 spins I hit some crazy combo of who knows what and cashed out with $28.85. All in all, not too bad... went in with $40, played for almost 2 hours and left only $11.15 down, but I don't think I'll be back out there anytime soon. The drive may be long to Tahoe, but it's a pretty ride and I like the games there much better!

On the way home I did stop at JoAnn Fabrics to pick up something I need for VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) on Splitcoaststampers.com next weekend. I have to check the supply list and make sure I have everything..... once VSN starts, I don't move till it's all over! Here is a link to the information and schedule for VSN if any of you stampers want to join in the madness!

That's all for now... I need to go start trying to clean my stamp table.....

Long time, no post!

But I don't think anyone's reading this anymore, so it probably doesn't matter! HA! Not much new has gone on around here. With Russ back up on the Mountain, I have returned to my usual routine. We did have a cold snap a couple weeks ago.... 4 or 5 nights in a row down in the low 20's. Had to wrap all the pipes and faucets outside and in the garage. The only damage we had was that a bottle of water in the garage froze and split. We were lucky. A condo not far from us had the pipes burst in the attic and flood the unit! I'll find out soon if the sprinkler system came thru OK. I haven't tried it yet!

I went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago with my friend, Trish and her son, Michael. We flew down Saturday morning and came home Monday afternoon. We had a lot of fun!

Russ was home last weekend and we went to Justin's birthday party on Saturday night. Good food and a lot of fun! Russ will be home again February 2nd thru the 5th. He will get to watch the Super Bowl from the comforts of his own sofa! That weekend is VSN on Splitcoaststampers.com, so he won't see much of me on Saturday, but he knew that before he scheduled his trip home, so he must be OK with it! Speaking of VSN, I really should go and clean the stamp room! My table is in there...... somewhere..... I think......

SNOW, anyone????

I just got some photos from Russ that he took this morning.... Here is what the Paradise Inn looks like this morning.....

Looks a little COLD to me! I asked if that was a cloud or a UFO in disguise.... sure looks wierd!

I spent the morning sorting my Disney Pins and Pennies in preparation for my trip..... I'll be there in less than 96 hours.... tick tick tick.......

That's all for now... just wanted to post the snow photo!

Hope it was all HAPPY!!!!

Belated Holiday Greetings to all! It's been a fun time at our house! I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year celebration and that Christmas/Winter Holiday of your Choice was everything you hoped it would be!

Russ left again today, headed back up toward Mt Rainier. He will arrive at my mother's house in Portland, OR sometime around 6PM if all goes according to plan. Then, he will leave there tomorrow morning and head up for the Park. The weather forecast for the area around the mountain is NOTHIN BUT SNOW for the next 5 days, so he may get to try out the chains for his car! I was up, dressed and loading up his car at 6:30 this morning.... man, it's COLD out there at that hour! BRRRRRR! Now maybe I can get caught up on *my* laundry! I have been running laundry for his trip for the last few days. He will not be able to return to the Guide House (where all his clothes, linens, etc. are) until who knows when, so he had to go back up with all the basics again. Hopefully he'll be able to get up there and get a few things soon. He took a sleeping bag, but has no blankets for his bed or slippers or his boots for walking around in the SNOW. We'll see what happens!

Taz has been very upset the last couple of days as all the packing was going on. I don't know if she is happy that I didn't leave or unhappy that Daddy did leave. She is under her blanket, "nesting", currently. I heard snoring a little while ago, so she must not be too unhappy! LOL! This is all I see of her currently.... Nothing but an ear.....

Well, that's all for now.... hopefully now that SAB (Sell-A-Bration with Stampin' Up!) is upon me, I will get the MESS cleaned off the stamp table and get ready for NEW RUBBER!!!!
